1961 Fender Jazzmaster

1961 Fender Jazzmaster - *SOLD*

Just in, this amazing slab board ‘61 Fender Jazzmaster. A great playing and very cool looking pre-CBS Fender.

Confirmed very old body refin with Kim from Historic Makeovers but according to Kim, it’s an old refin and a very good one. The checking is subtle and vibey but one glance down at that body when it’s in your hands and you’ll get that vibe.

Original pickups sound incredible, especially through an old Fender amp. and electronics with one pot replaced, original included.

This rosewood slab board is thick and just want you want in a pre-CBS Fender. I was recently reminded that in 1961 when Fender was building all of those great Stratocasters and Telecaster, the Jazzmaster was made from the same materials but was actually considered the more premium line of electric guitars made by Fender.

The tremolo is fully functional, the tip may have been replaced. Clay dots are just the coolest on that fat slab board.

There appears to be a light overspray on the rear headstock and lower part of the neck. plays great , fast neck.

Here at Historic Makeovers with the finish master Kim LaFleur playing refin or not a refin? If you have not checked out the incredible finish work and vintage makeovers they do, visit their site.

This beautiful ‘61 Jazzmaster comes from the owner’s Grandson, who inherited it and does not play, so he wanted it to go to an appreciative Jazzmaster player.

$6,560.00, includes original hardshell case.
