Welcome to Chasing Dream Guitars!
Every guitarist hits a point where they dream of having a specific guitar that inspires and excites them. For some, it’s a collector’s addiction but for most, it’s more of an expansion of the tonal possibilities with each different guitar they acquire and play. Sometimes it’s just time to level up.
That dream guitar may change over time as a guitarist discovers the newest inspiration for their playing and their sound. Either way, chasing down dream guitars is what we do and what our show is all about.
On Chasing Dream Guitars we chase down your dream guitar from our network of only the best guitar dealers and present your story and your quest for your Dream Guitar on our Show.
In addition to featuring your backstory and the story of your Dream Guitar Chase after we chase it down for you, we also video preview special dealer offered guitars and feature details of that specific guitar, it’s history and story, the model history, a short playing demo and a brief discussion from that featured guitar Dealer/Expert offering it, or as we call them, our Guitar Kings.

We also offer the option of accessing a Video Buyer’s Guide to Authentication Methods and How to Not Get Ripped Off on this specific model/year from the Guitar King Expert/Dealers themselves.

On this Chasing Dream Guitars, Kim LaFleur from Historic Makeovers talks about this beautiful 1961 style Gibson SG they did in a very unique gold.

Pleased to offer this 1962 Gibson Les Paul (SG). This wonderful player’s grade ‘62 LPSG has had some knocks but some recent refreshing has yielded a ‘62 Les with new life and a great player.
Just refretted and with a new Gibson aged “vintage” sideway vibrola tailpiece, this old Gibson is feeling good on the fretboard but now with improved intonation with the updated tailpiece.
The electronics (pots, wiring, switch, jack) are original. A modern ‘57 Classic bridge pickup but in the neck is the original Patent number sticker PAF.
The neck thin taper with a wide nut but has had a headstock repair. It also appears to have a very thin heel repair and there is overspray over both areas. These appear to be very old and stable repairs.
Priced as a quality player’s grade 1962 Les Paul that has an amazing sound and feel…and it looks pretty cool too. Included original yellow lined case.
